Starting pre-COVID, former North Park parent coach Rick Lipsey led a parent-driven campaign to raise funds in support of the Kenya Ice Lions, a youth hockey group skating out of a new ice rink in the Panari Hotel in Nairobi. Dollars raised by North Park parents helped support ice slot purchases and programming in 2023 for the Lions. This effort dovetailed with North Park's 2022 equipment drive to support the Ladakh Women Ice Hockey Foundation (LWIHF) and other hockey teams in Kashmir, India.
