Our History 1907 1930's 1940's 1950's 1960's 1970's 1980's 1990's 2000's Norfolk Tent Company was founded in 1907, eventually becoming one of America’s oldest tentmakers. In the early years the company quickly established a tradition of specializing in the manufacturing of circus tents, carousel covers, and public assembly tents.
The company survived during the Great Depression by fulfilling government contracts to supply the Civilian Conservation Corps and the US Military with tents and various covers in addition to maintaining the core business.
