Our goal is to create flood resilient communities in Nevada that encourage protection of life, property, water quality, environmental values and the preservation of natural floodplain functions. It is easy to assume that living in the driest state in the US would mean that the risk of flooding should be non-existent. Unfortunately, this is not the case as people have faced flooding disasters in Nevada as long as they have been coming here.
