Our vision as the NC Chapter of COPS is to build a network of support and friendship among those who have suffered the loss of a family member, loved one, or co-worker of Peace Officers lost in the line of duty. We are here as mentors, advisers, supporters, and extended family during and following the grief and healing process.
When we learn of a line of duty death in North Carolina, we try to reach out to the family as well as the department. We want the survivors to know that we are there to assist them in any way possible and to let them know they are not on this road alone. We will keep communications open with the department and assist them in any way needed.
