Napoleonville Fire Company No. 1 was established on March 5, 1878 and Napoleonville Hook & Ladder Company on June 1, 1901. N.V.F.D. is a non-profit, completely volunteer fire department comprised of over 30 volunteers, protecting an area which spans over 50 square miles.
