Ryan’s teaching method helps players gain speed while improving balance and coordination. Every drill taught has a purpose for the game. The goal is for each player to master Ryan’s skating drills with and without the puck and to understand when and where to apply them in a game situation, offensively and defensively.
Ryan will correct and/or demonstrate the proper techniques that he is instituting with every student. Ryan’s goals are not to just to improve skating skills but to build confidence and self-esteem in each student!
Ryan Schmidt, is from the Detroit Metro area. He played professionally for nine years and is a former CHL All-Star. He has been teaching power skating and hockey skills for over 30 years at all levels including House, Travel, AA, AAA, NAHL, USHL, OHL, CCHA, ECHL, AHL, IHL, NHL and members from the 1998 Women’s Olympic Team.
