Tim Ryan Rouillier\u2019s monumental musical symphony is about \u201Cmy beloved Montana, the people who live here, the places near to my heart and the mountains that reach to the sky.\u201D After a long career in the commercial country music industry, having written songs for George Strait, Phil Vassar, Randy Travis and many others, the award-winning singer/songwriter leads a large cast in \u201CMy Grandpa\u2019s Fiddle.\u201D
Gleaned from three days of David King magic filming and joined artfully by the Gordon Johnson directed Missoula symphony, which contributes incredible depth to the presentation, the countrywide June debut marks the culmination of a Rouillier’s dream musical career that began in his hometown of St. Ignatius and eventually lured him to Nashville.
The Montana-native-turned-Nashville star’s grandest dream yet – a musical memoir called “My Grandpa’s Fiddle” – will open at the University of Montana’s Dennison Theatre on June 17.
