It is located in one of the four Martello Towers of Kingston, Ontario and is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Rideau Canal and Kingston Fortifications. It is the oldest operating museum in Kingston with over a thousand domestic and military artifacts. The museum offers tours, programming and exhibits.
You are invited to celebrate the museum’s 98th birthday with games, tours, painting, activities, and more! Murney Fest is a special community event organized by the Murney Tower Museum to celebrate the museum’s 98th anniversary. This full-day event includes special activities that will take place inside the museum and outside in the park, engaging adults, kids, and family groups with the tower’s unique history and Kingston’s rich heritage.
