In lak'ech (I am another yourself), on 23rd Street off Mission Street was designed and directed by Marta Ayala with guest muralist, Catalina Gonzalez, in 1998. The mural is dedicated to the community, serves as a seed of harmony, joy and peace "Armonîa y Paz".
The mural is to provide a window into the harmony of the universe and to be a symbol of forest preservation. A sleeping mountain symbolizes the potential we all have to take care of the earth, its water and animals. The dessert is the skin of the earth, the mother and father mountains are embraced by the medicine we call Peyote, and are the source of the waterfall.
