Description: In our opinion no soldier would have entered a battlefield during World War II, knowing returning home will never occur. After all these years the Dutch Stichting Missing In Action (MIA) will attempt to find those still missing in action. The foundation's main goal is to find WWII ETO ground losses within the Benelux and Germany.

Stichting Missing In Action (MIA) is a Dutch non-profit organisation, whose goal is to search and find missing World War II soldiers. The foundation is focused on World War II ground losses within the Benelux and Germany. The Ardennes, Huertgenwald and Arnhem are most obvious to investigate due to the fact that the foundation operates from The Netherlands.
We will act on requests for help which in most cases are issued by the family of a missing soldier. In some cases a request comes for government agencies or because of metal detector findings. Any request for help will be considered, as long as it fits our mission: Search and find missing World War II ETO ground losses within the Benelux and Germany.
By investigation, eyewitness stories, fieldwork, knowledge and co-operation with like-minded organizations, the foundation tries to gather enough useable clues which could eventually lead to the missing soldiers' recovery. ‘Friend’ or ‘enemy’ is in all cases irrelevant. We believe that no one decides to enter a battlefield knowing returning home will never occur. After all these years we will attempt to find and recover the missing soldiers, whether they are English, Dutch, American or German…
