Creek Side Art, featuring the artwork of Mary Ida Rolape The establishment of her own studio and workshop was a early dream of Mary Ida Rolape. She has always been creating and selling art since her 16th birthday. The establishment of Creek Side Art came into being at the turn of the century with the building of her workshop right on Whites Neck Creek. Her Uncle William "Buck" Battenfield first got her interested in wood carving through his own efforts. He has won several ribbons in local judging contes
