MANY OF OUR PATIENTS COME FROM CLUBS THAT USE MID-SOUTH'S CLINICS AS THEIR INITIAL EYECARE PROVIDER. MID-SOUTH CANNOT PROVIDE INITIAL EYE EXAMS OR EYEGLASSES. SO AT THE REQUEST OF HEI'S RESIDENT CLINIC AND TO CLEAR SPACE FOR SURGERY PATIENTS, AT THE LAST BOARD MEETING A NEW POLICY REQUIRING A REFERRAL LETTER FROM AN EYECARE PROFESSIONAL BEFORE ACCEPTING A SIGHT APPLICATION WAS PASSED. PDG Greg Crapo, Past President, former Trustee and current Secretary of Mid-South Lions was recently elected to the L. B. Baker Hall of Honor by Past Presidents and current Hall of Honor inductees. Greg has faithfully served as an ambassador for Mid-South for over 30 years and has distinguished himself as one of the most respected leaders of our organization. Greg is a long-time member of the Biloxi, MS Lions Club.
Lion Eileen Smith helped to initiate our Lions hearing program and served our patients as our primary audiologist since 1990. Eileen has helped thousands of mid-southerners to hear better through the audiology programs at Methodist and University of Memphis. Eileen recently joined the Bartlett, TN Lions Club and was elected to the L. B. Baker Hall of Honor by Past Presidents and current Hall of Honor inductees.
