Description: Research Group leader
Complex systems typically consist of numerous components interacting in non-trivial ways. Anticipating how such systems change when intervened on, whether it be performing a brain surgery or implementing a national climate policy, are often high-stakes tasks plagued with uncertainties. We use machine learning to bring together data, theory and computational modeling to better understand the mechanisms governing the mammalian brain, artificial neural networks, multi-agent and macroeconomic systems.
