The Down By the Riverside Parade on 11/26/05 was the first big 2nd line after the horror of Hurricane Katrina. This soundscape starts with Fred Johnson of the Black Men of Labor Social Aid & Pleasure Club paying homage to the recently passed Mardi Gras Indian Chief of Chiefs Tootie Montana. It features the Hot 8 Brass Band in the foreground, TBC Brass Band in the background at times, and a singing crowd trying remember, let go and be free along the way.
