Highlighting repertoire from the black songstresses of the mid-20th century - Nina Simone, Carmen MacCrae, Dinah Washington and Sarah Vaughan - Measha infuses her signature versatility to songs like “Woke Up This Mornin'”, “Mi Romance”, “Take Me to the Water”, “My Man's Gone Now” and “Strange Fruit”.
