The Milk Composition Database (MCDB) is a freely available electronic database containing detailed information about small molecule metabolites found in cow milk. It is intended to be used for applications in chemistry, biomarker discovery, metabolomics, and general education. The database is designed to contain or link two kinds of data: 1) chemical data and 2) molecular biology/biochemistry data.
The Milk Composition Database is offered to the public as a freely available resource. Use and re-distribution of the data, in whole or in part, for commercial purposes requires explicit permission of the authors and explicit acknowledgment of the source material (Milk Composition Database) and the original publication (see below). We ask that users who download significant portions of the database cite the Milk Composition Database paper in any resulting publications.
