Matthew is a Manchester based freelance conductor, educator and workshop leader working across the UK. Sought after for his energetic and engaging style he has been engaged to work with choirs and singers for some of the country’s finest music organisations including the Hallé , Opera North , the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic , the Voices Foundation and SFP .
As a conductor, Matthew regularly works with many choirs including Sale Youth Choirs, N-Choir and was recently covering a position as the Choral Director at the University of Liverpoo l. He is also the founder and musical director of Manchester Vocal Ensemble , a vocal group specialising in modern choral repertoire and cross-genre collaborations.
