Welcome! I am a Junior Professor for Number Theory in the Algebra and Geometry Group at Goethe University Frankfurt am Main and a Principal Investigator at the newly established SFB 326 - GAUS . My position in Frankfurt is supported by the LOEWE-Schwerpunkt Uniformized Structures in Arithmetic and Geometry and my research program is also funded by DFG-Sachbeihilfe Grant Project No. 456557832 " From Riemann surfaces to tropical curves (and back again) ".
My research interests are in algebraic geometry, with a particular focus on tropical geometry and moduli spaces, and, in general, on combinatorial algebraic geometry.
