The European Workshop on Market Design (EWMD) started in 2019, as KIT-Paris-ZEW Workshop on Market Design, organized by the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) , Panthéon-Assas University (Paris 2) and Leibniz Centre for European Economic Research (ZEW) . After a break due to the pandemic, the Ecole Normale Supérieure Paris-Saclay (ENS Paris-Saclay) joined the organisation in 2022, followed by the University of Cologne in 2023.
