Any time Erin Entrada Kelly comes out with a new middle-grade novel, I'm right on board. Her latest, Those Kids from Fawn Creek, was an absolute joy to read.
Not much changes in the tiny town of Fawn Creek, Louisiana. The twelve kids in the sixth grade have known each other forever, and everyone has their role. The boy nicknamed Slowly is "slow." Greyson is called "Gayson." Shy Dorothy is a dud. That's just the way it is. Always has been.
