Allow me to introduce myself. I am Marci Elena Perez and this is my artwork. For many years I have kept my work to myself as it is an extremely personal endeavor. I have been commissioned for portraits and other such projects; however, sharing my artwork publicly has been a challenge since it leaves me feeling very exposed to the world. My charcoal drawings are usually reserved for portraiture, but not always. I have been drawing using many different techniques for over 25 years. However, in the last decade I have discovered a technique that really seems to synchronize what I am seeing in my mind with what comes out on the paper.
