The Malden Historical Society has been active in Malden since it was founded on March 8, 1886 by a group of twelve Malden residents. The following year, on February 7, 1887, the Society was incorporated as a non-profit with its goal to educate and preserve the history of Malden, MA
The Society has been actively collecting, preserving and cataloging books, papers, photographs, negatives, manufactured goods, postcards and more.
