Macroecology and Conservation

Our work focuses on research and discovery at the interface of macroecology, conservation, and global change. It starts with discovery but is about more than that - we are looking for ways to use discovery to improve conservation prospects for biological diversity during the current period of rapid human-induced climate change and habitat loss and improve predictions of vector borne disease risk for people. Our macroecological work is global but we are especially active in Canada and Tanzania.

Professor Kerr will be returning to Parliament in February to give expert witness testimony for the third time in the past four years , speaking about a third topic independently of the previous two. This appearance will be before the Science and Research Committee, led by the Hon. Dr. Kirsty Duncan. Stay tuned for updates…
