In 2021 Machelle was awarded The Audiofile Earphones Award for A Sitting in Saint James which was a 2022 Audies Finalist in the Young Adult category and was also featured on the Audible Editor’s Best Pick of 2021. Her work on Milk Blood Heat , also appeared on the Audible Best of 2021 list as well as Time Magazine’s 100 best audiobooks of 2021.
