Ludo & Hedo, an experimental platform for cooking below 0°C, is an artistic intervention in a public space that was developed by visual artist Ola Lanko. The project was in action from 2017 till 2019 operating as an ice cream shop in Amsterdam West.
In 2017, Ola decided to expand her artistic practice from art to the field of gastronomy. In this new context, her artistic investigations into perception take on new shapes and interactions with people become more playful. She opened an ice cream shop that came across as common at first while everything found inside was the opposite instead.
