The Television Industry is in the process of transforming to ATSC 3.0. LPTV Stations need contour protection for the investment in equipment to make sense. We are not asking the government for funding, simply contour protection. With contour protection, the SBA will loan LPTV stations funds to build out the station in ATSC 3.0.
1. LPTVBA is requesting the FCC to open opportunities for one time station moves of 60 miles or within the DMA, channel changes (LPTV is the only broadcast service that cannot change channels without displacement), and a new window for application for construction permits. 2.
