ORIGIN STORY
Having bounced around the Los Angeles indie scene, the ex-Ross Sea Party member switched Pacific coasts in 2013, by kayak. Aided by Magnum, his trusty midi keyboard, he began writing umami-infused, atmospheric indie-pop songs in various cities throughout Japan as well as his home studio in Tokyo.
After releasing 2013’s Ronin, several songs from the album were included in the aptly-named film Lost on Purpose (starring Jane Kaczmarek, and yes, the film was named after the musician). Following this, Will began splitting time between writing songs for Lost on Purpose and composing for film. He has scored movies starring both Mel Gibson (Fatman, 2020) and Danny Glover (Waffle Street, 2015 - Will is still waiting for Lethal Weapon 5…), as well as Anthony Anderson, Octavia Spencer, and John Hawkes.
