The Long Beach Lightning youth travel hockey program was established in 2009 and serves the youth of Long Beach, NY and its surrounding communities. Our program is intended for players who already possess hockey skill fundamentals and game knowledge and who ideally have completed at least one season of an in-house hockey program. We are a USA Hockey sanctioned organization and member of the Long Island Amateur Hockey League. Our teams participate at the Tier II and Tier II levels.
Our Mission is to provide the youth of the City of Long Beach and surrounding communities an affordable place to play ice hockey while maintaining a focus on having fun, quality coaching and continual skill development throughout all levels.
As an organization, we will strive to differentiate ourselves and not be just another youth hockey program. In staying true to our mission, our operations will focus on the continual skill development of the individuals and teams as a whole. Our goal is to have every player significantly develop both their technical skills and game knowledge throughout the course of the season.
