The Lone Star Wing of the Commemorative Air Force based in Marshall, Texas is a non-profit organization (501(c)3) dedicated to preserving and teaching WWII history. The LSW currently operates a PT-17 in support of the CAF Mission:
" The mission of the CAF is eduation and ensuring that generations of Americans will value and support the contributions of military in aviation. Members engage with the mission to protect these rare flying monuments to freedom for future generations through CAF preservation efforts, educational programs, museum exhibits and airshows."
The LSW offers rides in the PT-17 (lovingly referrred to as "23" after her ship number) at events across East Texas and, whenever our pilots are available, out of our home base of Marshall, TX (KASL).
