The combination of school closures, the highlighting of inequalities in society after the murder of George Floyd, and globalization have accelerated conversations of what the future of education should be.  So what should the future of education look like? It should not only address the content, but also the skills of the 21st century, and the social emotional learning that is necessary in order to deal with the inequalities in our systems.  

These three points of content, skills and social-emotional learning are not new:
