Hi, I’m Lisa Krausz – a designer & artist based in Vienna, Austria. I love creating visual and physical stuff, as well as singing my heart out. I discovered my passion in these fields from an early age on, that’s why my creativity expresses itself through these 3 senses: sight (graphic design), touch (furniture/product design) and hearing (music).
After graduating from a music-high school, I gained my first professional experience in the family furniture-business “ 1000 Tische & Stühle ” (“1000 tables & chairs”). There I also developed my passion for design, that’s why I decided to study at the college for ‘Interior Design & sustainable Product Development’, which I graduated with a diploma in 2014. During this time I was able to combine my interest for foreign countries and other cultures with a hands-on internship in Hawaii.
Besides (trying) to dance ‘Hula’ and catching waves in Waikiki, I worked full time in a so-called ‘makerspace’, where I learned a lot about wood working and furniture design. With this knowledge, I left paradise and got accepted to the bachelor’s program ‘Manual & Material Culture’ with a focus on handcrafting at the NDU , back in Austria.
