My name is Lisa Federer, and I’m the Data Science and Open Science Librarian at the National Library of Medicine. My work primarily focuses on developing the workforce for data science by providing guidance on the skills that researchers, librarians, and others will need to succeed in an increasingly data-driven research ecosystem. I have previously held positions at the NIH Library and the UCLA Louise M. Darling Biomedical Library.

When I’m not geeking out over data, I’m most likely hanging out with my most awesome dog Ophelia, reading a book, or watching a good movie and knitting a sweater. (Or skiing, if it’s cold enough.)
