Professional localization : characters, items, locations, names and other terms will have the same translation during the whole game. No missed variables will breake the game. No “long phrases” will fall out of text boxes. All similar phrases will be translated consistently.
Transcreation instead of translation : the game will look like initially created in Russian – not like translated from English. Idioms, mems, expressions, play on word cases, etc. will be transcreated with care. I will improve the text to make it sound well in Russian.
The style and atmosphere will be thoroughly recreated with Russian words. I explore games by playing them to reach this. I think that it’s style and atmosphere which make people love games.
