Lenore Myka is the author of King of the Gypsies: Stories (BkMk Press), the winner of the G.S. Sharat Chandra Prize for Short Fiction and a finalist for the Chautauqua Prize. A recipient of a National Endowment for the Arts Literature Fellowship, Lenore's creative work has been selected as distinguished by The Best American Short Stories and The Best American Non-Required Reading series, and appeared in Virginia Quarterly Review , New England Review , Iowa Review , Five Points, Poets & Writers , and Quart
For over 15 years, Lenore has assisted individuals in achieving their writing aspirations. Her clients have included the University of Wisconsin, Edmentum, Apex Learning, QBS Learning, the University of Texas at Austin, and ArtsEmerson, as well as dozens of individuals who, with her help, have successfully launched their works out into the world.
Before turning to freelance, Lenore taught creative and academic writing (MIT, Boston University, New College of Florida), served as editorial director for an e-learning platform, worked at a meditation center, and was a Peace Corps volunteer in Romania. When she’s not writing and editing, she’s practicing French, doting on her beloved (and very best) dog Arrow (bonus points if you can correctly guess the origins of his name), and finding any possible reason to get out doors.
