Thanks for your interest in me and my work! I am currently an Assistant Professor at the University of Arizona’s Communication Department . I graduated with a Ph.D. in Communication from the Annenberg School for Communication & Journalism at the the University of Southern California , researching organizations, communication networks, technology, and information asymmetries in different contexts.
I’m currently a Wildcat, but I’m also a former Trojan, Knight (B.A. in Political Science), Owl (M.A. in Political Science), and Buffalo (M.A. in Journalism). My past experience outside of academia includes working in survey operations for a political/corporate research & consulting firm and as an audience analyst for a national non-profit independent television network. My current research focuses on how people (or other entities, like groups or organizations) resolve or take advantage of information asymmetries, communication’s role in organizing processes , and the development of information goods in different contexts, particularly in online communities and social media . I’m also interested in the impact of technology on these processes.
