For the past 25 years, Gulf Harbour residents have given generously to support at-risk children in Lee County. The Legacy Foundation at Gulf Harbour was established to oversee these generous gifts and to review grant requests that meet our mission. Registered as a charity with the State of Florida, The Legacy Foundation uses a grant process to distribute its annually collected funds to benefit young people at risk in the Southwest Florida community.
Our mission is to support at-risk children in Lee County. By investing wisely and pursuing programs focused on prevention through early intervention, we seek to make a difference for the young people in our community.
The Legacy Foundation at Gulf Harbour believes in opportunity for all children. Every child should have the opportunity to develop a comprehensive support system that unites the most important influences in their life – school, family and community – so they are able to pursue academic achievement, personal wellbeing and lifelong success.
