Edd Lewis has got in touch to point out that there is a proposal to demolish Brookside (the current building on the site) and replace it with an eight story student accommodation block alongside the Woodbrook (adjacent to the Tennis and Bowling Clubs). He is particularly concerned that this will necessitate the felling of all the large trees together with the removal of the shrubs along that part of cycle route 5 that runs beside the Woodbrook. The planning application number is P/23/0742/2 .
