Lawrence Howard is a storyteller and creative who transplanted himself in Portland from New York City more than 40 years ago. Known as the "Homer of Portland," Lawrence has created several solo shows in his Armchair Adventurer series, including his well-known story of Ernest Shackleton's 1914 voyage of the Endurance called Shackleton's Antarctic Nightmare .
