I began gathering information for this site in 2011 and take great pride in bringing our viewers the straight scoop on where people can take their dogs. RESPONSIBLE DOG OWNERSHIP – Part of the purpose of this website is to promote responsible dog ownership. We can all agree that Hawaii can be challenging for dog owners in trying to find places to take our dogs. When we do our part and take our dogs only to places where dogs are allowed, keep them on leash, pick up after them, remove them from a bad situation when necessary, and treat them with kindness, it shows that we can be trusted. Each of us has a responsibility to do our part, but also to help others
We have some AMAZING people and businesses on this island: dog trainers , groomers , dog-friendly restaurants and farmers’ markets , and we can’t forget about the way people come together when an animal or group of animals need to be rescued. I ask each one of you out there to volunteer or donate to our island animal rescues and please invest in proper dog training and grooming. Continuous dog training is paramount to being a responsible dog owner and helping make Hawaii more dog-friendly.
