Lauren McGaughy is an investigative reporter for The Dallas Morning News. She is based in Austin and works out of the Capitol bureau. For 2022, she is focusing on the intersection of gender, sexuality and politics in Texas.
She previously covered Texas politics and policy for The Houston Chronicle as well as the Louisiana Legislature for The Times-Picayune.
