Born and raised in Essex Village, a low-income neighborhood in Richmond, Senator Bagby has never forgotten where he came from and is living proof that access to a quality education is the great equalizer, having earned degrees at both Norfolk State and Virginia Commonwealth Universities. It’s why he got involved in his community fundraising to help young people afford school supplies.
