November 1st was the start date for a statewide promotion called “The Peppermint Trail.” This is a Kentucky Main Street initiative to encourage shoppers to shop local during the holiday season. You can follow the trail through any of the 25 cities in the state that have a Main Street Program. The advertisement that is being used to promote the shopping trail was filmed here in La Grange!
When you shop downtown La Grange, look for “The Peppermint Trail” sign at the checkout counter where you can scan a QR code to register and be added to a drawing for two Grand Prizes. One of the prizes is worth $400 provided by the four local Main Street cities; Shelbyville, Taylorsville, Carrollton, and La Grange.
