Garden of Prayer Youth Center is a faith-based child welfare agency incorporated in 1995. We are licensed by the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services. Garden of Prayer Youth Center services include congregate care housing for teens, emergency and specialized foster care, trauma-informed mental health services, early childhood education, before and after school care, summer camp, parent mentoring, life skills development, and spiritual enrichment. In 1970, Reverend Jordan and his wife, Doris, left Chicago to purchase a 49 acre farm in Momence, IL to provide a safe haven for homeless children.
