Description: On 20 January 1959, The Kuching Chinese Chess Association was established and approved by the Sarawak Registration of Societies (ROS) and is now categorized as a Xiang Qi sport and registered on 03 April 2012 under the name of the Kuching Xiang Qi Association at the Sarawak Sports Commissioner's Office under the Sports Development Act 1997.
