Kizomba is one of the fastest growing styles of dance and music in the UK, particularly in London, Birmingham, Brighton, Bristol, Sheffield, Kent, Cheltenham, Nottingham, Belfast and Edinburgh.

The word Kizomba means “to party” in one of Angola's national languages. Kizomba is essentially Angolan in it’s stylistic origin and is characterized by its mellow and smooth sound which was influenced by Zouk music (East Caribbean Islands – Guadeloupe, Martinique, Dominica, St Lucia, Haiti) Semba (from Angola) and lately a highlight of Rhythm and Blues.
