Kiwanis is an international community service organization which seeks to create a brighter future for the children of the world. Unlike most Kiwanis Clubs, the Kiwanis Club of Brighton Bayside is a Public Benevolent Institution, having as its focus the provision of benevolent relief to those in particular need. In an atmosphere of fun and friendship we are involved in a range of projects.
Our main projects target sick and "at risk" children and youth. For example, we supply "Survival Kits" and warm clothing to homeless youth and food vouchers to BayCISS for their Emergency Relief program. We provide assistance to Children First Foundation (an organization which provides surgical intervention to severely handicapped children and youth from developing countries). We occasionally support Kiwanis International programs aimed at relieving the suffering of the world's poorest children.
