Description: Life Time Kids Run Miami
An open invitation to all middle school students in Miami-Dade County, the program’s goal is to offer every child an opportunity to run their first marathon (26.2 miles) and, in doing so, promote a fit and healthy lifestyle while teaching children to create and fulfill goals.
Participating Miami-Dade County schools and youth organizations completed the Final Mile of their marathon program on Sunday, January 29, 2023! These kids began training in October 2022 and received a hard-earned medal of their own after they crossed the Finish Line in downtown Miami alongside thousands of marathon and half marathon adult participants.
Complimentary to Miami-Dade County schools, the Life Time Kids Run Miami program aims to help reduce the health risks and conditions that kids face today by promoting physical education and an active lifestyle through running, and it is our goal to involve as many children as possible from start to finish.
