Kenneth Slaught is the founder and president of Investec Real Estate Companies. Since 1983, he has built the firm into the largest real estate development and management company in Santa Barbara County, in the process acquiring over three million square feet of coastal California apartment, office, retail, and self-storage properties. Slaught studied business and economics at the University of California, Santa Barbara, earning a degree in 1979. Additionally, he has obtained certification from the California Contractors State License Board, and a California real estate broker’s license. Prior to forming Investec, he was a founding partner of real estate development, property management, and mortgage brokerage firm MKS Companies.
