I’ve been watching episodes of the Hulu horror series Monsterland lately, and as thick as it may seem, I’d never given the meaning of the title much thought. Some episodes don’t even necessarily read as horror stories with monsters, but as suspenses with cautionary tales. For the most part, though, monsters abound–usually more than one, sometimes glaringly obvious, sometimes more subtle in nature.
