Kawartha's Finest Family & Fishing Resort Katchawanooka Resort is located on beautiful Katchewanooka Lake (which comes from the Indian word meaning ‘lake of sparkling water’) . It is 90 minutes away from Toronto, 15 minutes east of Peterborough, and 5 minutes from the village of Lakefield in the Kawartha region.
Katchewanooka Lake is a part of the Trent Severn Water way system that connects it to other waterways. We are located on 2 acres of lush green grass lined with trees and over 450 feet of shoreline, edged by a sandy beach, which is ideal for swimming. Across the lake, as part of their view, guests can see 175 acres of beautiful wild forest, which was dedicated to Lakefield College in 2008. The area across the resort also contains a sandy bank for families to rest and play with their kids.
